'मदर्स डे'च्या धर्तीवर 'पत्नी दिन' साजरा करावा, अशी मागणी केंद्रीय मंत्री रामदास आठवले यांनी रविवारी केली. सांगली येथे एका कार्यक्रमाला संबोधित करताना मंत्री म्हणाले, 'आई जन्म देते, तर पत्नी चांगल्या-वाईट काळात पतीच्या पाठीशी उभी असते. प्रत्येक यशस्वी पुरुषाच्या मागे एक स्त्री असते. . आपण पत्नी दिन साजरा केला पाहिजे.'
