रिपाई चे रामदास आठवले यांनीही या मंत्रिमंडळात त्यांचा समावेश नसल्याने आणि त्यांना आमंत्रणही न दिल्याने नाराजी बोलून दाखवली होती.
महाराष्ट्राच्या मंत्रिमंडळाचा पहिला विस्तार काल 15 डिसेंबर दिवशी नागपूर मध्ये राजभवनाच्या लॉन्सवर पार पडला. या मंत्रिमंडळ विस्तारामध्ये 39 जण शपथबद्ध झाले आहेत. पण काही बड्या नेत्यांचा त्यामध्ये समावेश न झाल्याने काहींनी नाराजी बोलून दाखवली आहे. दरम्यान याची दाखल घेत महाराष्ट्र भाजपा प्रदेशाध्यक्ष चंद्रशेखर बावनकुळे यांनी रामदास आठवले यांची जाहीर माफी मागितली आहे. गडबडीत मंत्रिमंडळ विस्ताराचे निमंत्रण वेळेत पोहचले नाही. आमच्याकडून चुक झाली आहे.
