केंद्रीय मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव यांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, भारतामध्ये Apple त्यांचा ग्लोबल सप्लायर TDK च्या माध्यमातून भारतातील हरियाणा मध्ये Li-ion battery cells ची निर्मिती करणार आहे. यामुळे 8-10 हजार युवकांना थेट नोकरीची संधी मिळणार आहे. Apple आधीच भारतात आयफोन असेंबल करत आहे आणि पुढील दोन ते तीन वर्षांत चीनमधून भारतात मोठ्या प्रमाणात उत्पादन हलवण्याची योजना आखत आहे. ही पहिलीच वेळ असेल जेव्हा क्युपर्टिनो टेक जायंट देशात मोबाईल फोन घटक तयार करेल.
