ऑक्सफर्ड इंग्लिश डिक्शनरी मध्ये आता 'देश','बिंधास्त' सह 800 शब्दांसाठी भारतीय उच्चारणासाठी Pronunciation Transcriptions उपलब्ध होणार आहे. दरम्यान सध्या ब्रिटिश इंग्लिश, अमेरिकन  इंग्लिश यासोबतच जगाच्या विविध भागात इंग्रजी स्थानिकांनी स्वतःच्या सोयीप्रमाणे स्वीकारली. त्यापैकी भारतीय इंग्रजी ला OED मध्ये समाविष्ट करून घेण्याचं मोठं आव्हान आणि त्याला प्राधान्य देखील होतं पण आता टप्प्याटप्य्याने ते पूर्ण करण्याचा प्रयत्न असल्याची माहिती Dr Catherine Sangster, Pronunciations Editor for the OED यांनी दिली आहे.
