वायूप्रदुषण आणि हवेची धोकादायक पातळी या दोन्हींबाबत राष्ट्रीय राजधानी दिल्ली नेहमी अग्रेसर राहिली आहे. दिल्लीतील हवेची बिघडलेली वायू पातळी नेहमीच चर्चेचा विषय राहिली आहे. पण, आता केवळ दिल्लीच नव्हे तर, देशाची आर्थिक राजधानी मुंबईसुद्धा वायुप्रदुषणामुळे चिंतेचा विषय ठरली आहे. मुंबईतही पाठिमागील काही काळापासून वायूप्रदुषण मोठ्या प्रमाणावर होत आहे. मुंबईतील हवेची पातळीही कमालीची खालावली आहे. परिणामी नागरिकांच्या आरोग्याचा प्रश्न निर्माण होऊ पाहतो आहे. सध्या हिवाळा सुरु आहे. त्यामुळे वायुप्रदुषण काहीसे अधिकच वाढले आहे. दरम्यान, आरोग्याच्या दृष्टीने हानिकारक असलेल्या दिल्लीतील हवेच्या धोकादायक पातळीशी मुंबई बरोबरी करु पाहात असल्याने चिंता व्यक्त केली जात आहे.
