महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी मंगळवारी माजी मुख्य सचिव मनोज सौनिक यांची प्रधान सल्लागार म्हणून नियुक्ती केली. मनोज सौनिक हे मुख्यमंत्री कार्यलयात ते मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांचे प्रधान सल्लागार म्हणून काम करणार आहे. 1987 च्या बॅचचे आयएएस अधिकारी, मनोज सौनिक गेल्या वर्षी 31 डिसेंबरला नरेंद्र मोदी सरकारने त्यांची मुदतवाढ नाकारल्यामुळे त्यांच्या पदावरून निवृत्त झाले. मुख्य सचिव म्हणून ३० एप्रिल ते ३१ डिसेंबर पर्यंत कारभार संभाळला होता. महाराष्ट्र राज्यात एकनाथ शिंदे-देवेंद्र फडणवीस सरकार सत्तेवर आल्यानंतर प्रधान सचिवाची नियुक्ती रखडली होती. शिंदे सरकारने आता ही सचिवाचे कामकाज पुन्हा सुरू केले असून मनोज सौनिक यांची मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांचे प्रमुख सल्लागार म्हणून नियुक्ती जाहीर केली आहे.
