महाराष्ट्राचे मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे, यावेळी मुंबईचे पालकमंत्री दीपक केसरकर आणि मुंबई उपनगरांचे पालकमंत्री मंगलप्रभात लोढा यांनी हुतात्मा चौकात संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र चळवळीत बलिदान दिलेल्या हुतात्म्यांना श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे. 21 नोव्हेंबरला महाराष्ट्रात हुतात्मा स्मृती दिन पाळला जातो. 21 नोव्हेंबर 1956 रोजी संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र चळवळ उभी राहिल्याने हा दिवस पाळला जातो.
