Conjunctivitis in Pune: देवाची आळंदीमध्ये अवघ्या तीन दिवसात 1,600 मुलांना उद्भवली 'डोळे येण्याची' समस्या; शाळांना सुट्टी जाहीर करण्याचे आवाहन

पुण्यातील देवाची आळंदी परिसरात तब्बल 1,600 मुलांना कंजंक्टिव्हायटिस म्हणजेच ‘डोळे येणे’ची समस्या उद्भवली आहे. आरोग्य विभागाच्या अधिकारी उर्मिला शिंदे यांनी याबाबत माहिती दिली आहे. महत्वाचे म्हणजे या आजाराचा फैलाव अवघ्या तीन दिवसांत झाला आहे. परिसरातील शाळांमधून त्याचा प्रसार होत आहे. हा प्रादुर्भाव रोखण्यासाठी आरोग्य विभागाने शाळांना सुट्टी जाहीर करण्याचे आवाहन केले आहे. पुण्यातील आळंदीत वारकरी संप्रदायाच्या शाळा आणि शैक्षणिक संस्थांमधील मुलांना डोळ्यांच्या आजाराची लागण झाली आहे.

डोळ्यांची सतत जळजळ होणे, डोळ्यांतून घाण स्त्राव, डोळ्यांत पाणी येणे, पापण्या चिमटणे ही नेत्ररोगाची लक्षणे आहेत. यासाठी डोळ्यांना स्पर्श केल्यानंतर स्वच्छ हात धुणे, ज्या लोकांना याची लागण झाली आहे त्यांनी सतत चष्मा लावणे, डॉक्टरांचा योग्य सल्ला घेणे असे आवाहन आरोग्य विभागाने केले आहे.
