74 वर्षीय जगदीप धनखड हे भारताचे 14 वे उपराष्ट्रपती होते. आजपासून सुरू झालेल्या पावसाळी अधिवेशनाच्या पहिल्याच दिवशी त्यांनी आपल्या पदाचा राजीनामा दिला आहे.
Jagdeep Dhankhar यांनी Vice President of India पदाचा राजीनामा दिला आहे. आरोग्याचं कारण देत त्यांनी आपला राजीनामा सुपूर्त केला आहे. 2022 पासून ते उप राष्ट्रपती होते. राष्ट्रपतींना लिहिलेल्या पत्रात, जगदीप धनखड यांनी पंतप्रधान आणि संसद सदस्यांचे त्यांच्या कार्यकाळात दिलेल्या पाठिंब्याबद्दल मनापासून आभार मानले आहेत. उपराष्ट्रपती जगदीप धनखड यांनी राष्ट्रपती द्रौपदी मुर्मू यांच्याकडे राजीनामा देताना तातडीने आपण पदमुक्त होत असल्याचं त्यांनी म्हटलं आहे.
