देशावरील कोरोना विषाणूच्या सावटामुळे राज्यात अनेक निर्बंध लागू करण्यात आले आहेत. अशात कोविडमुळे आर्थिक संकटाला सामोरे जाणारे गोविंदा पथक आणि कुंभार यांनी राज्य सरकारला दहीहंडीचा कार्यक्रम रद्द करण्यावर पुनर्विचार करण्याची विनंती केली आहे. यामध्ये काही मधला मार्ग काढावा, आमचे उत्पन्न हंडीवर अवलंबून आहे असे जय जवान गोविंदा पथकाच्या विजय निकम यांनी सांगितले.
दुसरीकडे, कुंभार राजकुमार गुप्ता म्हणतात, 'आमचे दुकान 70 वर्षांपासून येथे आहे. आतापर्यंत फक्त 30% हंडी बनवल्या गेल्या आहेत. सार्वजनिक दहीहंडीवर बंदी घालण्यात आली आहे. कोविड-19 मुळे आमचे व्यवसाय मोठ्या प्रमाणात प्रभावित झाले आहेत.'
