लातूरच्या महापौरपदी (Latur Mayoral Election 2019) काँग्रेस पक्षाचे (Congress) विक्रांत गोजमगुंडे (Vikrant Gojamgunde) यांनी भाजपचे (BJP) शैलेश गोजमगुंडे (Shailesh Gojamgunde) यांचा 2 नगरसेवकांच्या फरकाने पराभव केला आहे. महापौरपदाची निवड करण्यासाठी 68 सदस्य उपस्थित होते. दरम्यान, विक्रांत गोजमगुंडे यांना 35 तर, शैलेश गोजमगुंडे यांना 33 नगरसेवकांनी मतदान केले आहे. धक्कादायक म्हणजे, भाजपच्या 2 नगरसेवकांनी काँग्रेसला मतदान केल्याने सत्ताधारी भाजपला पराभवाचा सामना करावा लागला आहे. लातूर महानगर पालिकेत बहुमत असतानाही काँग्रेसचे महापौराची निवड झाल्याने हा भाजपसाठी मोठा धक्का असल्याचे मानले जात आहे.
