मध्य प्रदेशातील शाजापूर जिल्ह्याचे शिक्षणाधिकारी विवेक दुबे यांनी एक निर्देश जारी केला आहे की, विद्यार्थ्यांनी त्यांच्या पालकांच्या संमतीशिवाय ख्रिसमस 2023-संबंधित क्रियाकलापांमध्ये भाग घेतल्यास सरकारी आणि खाजगी दोन्ही शाळांवर शिस्तभंगाची कारवाई केली जाईल. यात नाटके किंवा इतर कार्यक्रमांसाठी सांताक्लॉज किंवा ख्रिसमस ट्री म्हणून वेषभूषा करणारे विद्यार्थी समाविष्ट आहेत. 14 डिसेंबर रोजी जारी करण्यात आलेल्या आदेशात म्हटले आहे की, “कोणतीही अनपेक्षित परिस्थिती किंवा घटना टाळण्यासाठी पालकांच्या लेखी संमतीशिवाय ख्रिसमसशी संबंधित कार्यक्रमांमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी सहभागी होऊ नये, जसे की सांताक्लॉज आणि ख्रिसमस ट्री सारख्या वेषभूषा करणे किंवा भूमिका करणे. .” निर्देशात पुढे असा इशारा देण्यात आला आहे की, "या संदर्भात तक्रारी आल्यास तुमच्या संस्थेला एकतर्फी शिस्तभंगाच्या कारवाईला सामोरे जावे लागेल." दुबे यांनी स्पष्ट केले की यापूर्वीही तक्रारी आल्या आहेत, परंतु या आदेशात शाळांमध्ये ख्रिसमस 2023 च्या कार्यक्रमांवर बंदी नाही.
