Bilkis Bano Case: बिल्किस बानो प्रकरणात मोठा निर्णय, सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाकडून दोषींची सुटका रद्द

Bilkis Bano Case: सोमवारी दिलेल्या एका महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णयात सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने (Supreme Court) गुजरात दंगलीतील पीडित बिल्किस बानो (Bilkis Bano) ला मोठा दिलासा दिला आहे. बिल्किस बानो सामूहिक बलात्काराच्या दोषींना माफी देण्याचा गुजरात सरकारचा निर्णय सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने रद्द केला आहे. गुजरात सरकारने ऑगस्ट 2022 मध्ये बिल्किस बानो सामूहिक बलात्कार प्रकरणात जन्मठेपेची शिक्षा झालेल्या सर्व 11 दोषींची सुटका केली होती. सरकारच्या या निर्णयाला सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात आव्हान देण्यात आले. या संपूर्ण प्रकरणावर सुनावणी करताना सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे की, न्यायालयाचा असा विश्वास आहे की ज्या राज्यामध्ये गुन्हेगारावर खटला चालवला जातो आणि शिक्षा सुनावली जाते ते राज्य दोषींच्या माफीच्या याचिकेवर निर्णय घेण्यास सक्षम आहे. दोषींची शिक्षा माफीचा आदेश पारित करण्यास गुजरात राज्य सक्षम नसून महाराष्ट्र सरकार सक्षम आहे.
