'श्रीकृष्णाने अर्जुनाला जिहाद शिकवल्याच्या' माजी केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री शिवराज पाटील यांच्या वक्तव्यावर वातावरण पेटलेलं असताना आज त्यांनी मीडीयाशी बोलताना हे वाक्य आपण बोललो नसल्याचं सांगत पलटी मारण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे. जिहाद केवळ कुराणात नाही तर भगवतगीतेमध्ये आणि ईसाई धर्मामध्येही असल्याचं म्हटलं आहे.  हिंदूंमध्ये खरं बोलणार्‍या मारणं हा देखील जिहाद आहे. महात्मा गांधीजींची हत्या जिहाद असल्याचं त्यांनी म्हटलं आहे.
