लडाखचा मोठा भाग चीनच्या ताब्यात असल्याच्या काँग्रेस खासदार राहुल गांधी यांच्या दाव्यावर, लडाखचे उपराज्यपाल ब्रिगेडियर डॉ. बी.डी. मिश्रा (निवृत्त) यांनी प्रतिक्रीया दिली आहे, "मी कोणाच्याही विधानावर भाष्य करणार नाही, पण वस्तुस्थिती काय आहे ते मी सांगेन कारण मी स्वतः पाहिले आहे. चिनी लोकांनी ताब्यात घेतलेली एक चौरस इंचही जमीन नाही. असा दावा त्यांनी केला आहे.
