भारताच्या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या पहिल्या न्यायाधीश फातिमा बीवी यांचं निधन झालं आहे. त्या तमिळनाडूच्या गर्व्हनर देखील होत्या.
भारताच्या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या पहिल्या न्यायाधीश फातिमा बीवी यांचं निधन झालं आहे. त्या तमिळनाडूच्या गर्व्हनर देखील होत्या. Live Law,च्या रिपोर्टनुसार फतिमा यांची सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात पहिल्या महिला न्यायाधीश म्हणून नेमणूक झाली होती. आज 96 व्या वर्षी त्यांचं निधन झालं आहे. महिलांसाठी त्या आदर्श आहेत. १९८९ मध्ये या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात न्यायाधीश पदावर नियुक्त झालेल्या पहिल्या भारतीय महिला आहेत. ३ ऑक्टोबर १९९३ रोजी त्यांना राष्ट्रीय मानवाधिकार आयोग (भारत) चे सदस्य बनवण्यात आले होते.
