दिल्ली प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समितीने (डीपीसीसी) मंगळवारी राष्ट्रीय राजधानीत 1 जानेवारी 2022 पर्यंत फटाके विक्री आणि फोडण्यावर पूर्ण बंदी घालण्याचे आदेश दिले. आदेशानुसार, अनेक तज्ज्ञांनी सूचित केले आहे की, लोक मोठ्या संख्येने फटाके फोडून उत्सव साजरा करण्यासाठी एकत्र येतील, ज्यामुळे कोविड-19 प्रकरणांमध्ये वाढ होण्याची शक्यता आहे. लोकांच्या एकत्र येण्याने केवळ नियमांचेच उल्लंघन होणार नाही, तर वायू प्रदूषणाच्या उच्च पातळीमुळे दिल्लीमध्ये आरोग्याच्या गंभीर समस्या निर्माण होतील.
