अरुणाचल प्रदेशच्या तवांग सेक्टरमध्ये भारत आणि चीनच्या सैनिकांमध्ये झालेल्या चकमकीनंतर चीनबाबत आणखी एक बातमी समोर येत आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वी हिंदी महासागर क्षेत्रात (IOR) दाखल झालेले चीनचे चीनी वैज्ञानिक संशोधन जहाज अर्थात 'हेरवाहू जहाज' यांग वांग-5 (Yang Wang-5) आता या प्रदेशातून निघून गेले आहे. एएनआय वृत्तसंस्थेनुसार, भारतीय नौदलाच्या सूत्रांनी मंगळवारी (13 डिसेंबर) सांगितले की, भारतीय नौदल चिनी बॅलेस्टिक मिसाईल आणि सॅटेलाइट ट्रॅकिंग जहाजाच्या हालचालीवर लक्ष ठेवून आहे.
चीनचे गुप्तहेर जहाज युआन वांग-5 हे बॅलिस्टिक क्षेपणास्त्रे आणि सॅटेलाइट ट्रॅकिंग उपकरणांनी सुसज्ज असल्याचे मानले जाते. या जहाजाच्या हेरगिरीच्या कारवायांवर भारताने चिंता व्यक्त केली आहे. पीटीआयने 6 डिसेंबर रोजी युआन वांग-5 ने आयओआरमध्ये प्रवेश केल्याचे वृत्त दिले होते.
