IED Blast in Chhattisgarh: छत्तीसगडमधील बिजापूर जिल्ह्यात शनिवारी नक्षलवाद्यांनी पेरलेल्या आयईडी स्फोटात केंद्रीय राखीव पोलिस दलाचा (सीआरपीएफ) एक जवान जखमी झाला. एका वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले की, सीआरपीएफच्या 196 व्या बटालियनचे एक पथक सकाळी महादेव घाट परिसरात पाळत ठेवण्याच्या मोहिमेवर असताना हा स्फोट झाला. गस्त घालत असताना, सीआरपीएफ जवानाने अनवधानाने प्रेशर आयईडीवर पाय ठेवला. ज्यामुळे त्याचा स्फोट झाला. जखमी सैनिकाला बिजापूर जिल्हा रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्यात आले आहे.
शुक्रवारी, शेजारच्या नारायणपूर जिल्ह्यातील दोन ठिकाणी नक्षलवाद्यांनी पेरलेल्या आयईडी स्फोटात एका ग्रामस्थाचा मृत्यू झाला आणि तीन जण जखमी झाले होते. तथापी, 6 जानेवारी रोजी, नक्षलवाद्यांनी विजापूर जिल्ह्यात आयईडीने एक वाहन उडवून दिले होते. यात आठ पोलिस आणि एका चालकाचा मृत्यू झाला होता.
