गोव्यात आम आदमी पक्षाने अमित पालेकर यांना मुख्यमंत्रिपदाचा चेहरा बनवला आहे. आम आदमी पक्षाचा मुख्यमंत्रीपदाचा चेहरा भंडारी समाजाचा असेल,असे 'आप'ने आधीच सांगितले होते.
गोव्यातील सुमारे 35 टक्के लोकसंख्या भंडारी समाजाची आहे. मुख्यमंत्री पदाच्या उमेदवाराचे नाव, आप पक्षाचे प्रमुख आणि दिल्लीचे मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल यांनी जाहीर केले.
