Prigozhin ने रशियाचे अध्यक्ष व्लादिमीर पुतिन यांच्याविरुद्ध बंडखोरी केली होती. विमान अपघातामुळे Yevgeny Prigozhin विरुद्ध सूड उगवल्याची चर्चा होती पण पुतिन यांनी त्यांना दहाही अपघातग्रस्तांप्रती श्रद्धांजली व्यक्त करत Prigozhin यांचा उल्लेख 'talented businessman' असा केला.
