ऑलिंपियन ऐश्वर्य प्रताप सिंग तोमरने बुधवारी कैरो येथे आयएसएसएफ नेमबाजी विश्वचषक स्पर्धेत (ISSF World Cup 2023) पुरुषांच्या वैयक्तिक 50 मीटर रायफल श्री पोझिशन प्रकारात सुवर्णपदक जिंकले. अशाप्रकारे या स्पर्धेत भारताने आपले वर्चस्व कायम राखले आहे. या स्पर्धेत भारताने आतापर्यंत 4 सुवर्णांसह 6 पदके जिंकली आहेत. गतवर्षी चँगवॉन विश्वचषक स्पर्धेत सुवर्णपदक जिंकणाऱ्या 22 वर्षीय तोमरने अंतिम फेरीत ऑस्ट्रियाच्या अलेक्झांडर श्मिरलचा 16-2 असा सहज पराभव केला.
