जागतिक क्रमवारीत अव्वल स्थानी असलेल्या नोवाक जोकोविचने मंगळवारी वैद्यकीय सवलत मिळाल्यानंतर तो ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपनमध्ये आपल्या विजेतेपदाचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी सज्ज असल्याचे जाहीर केले. 17 जानेवारीपासून सुरू होणार्या ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपनमधील सर्व सहभागींना कोविड-19 विरोधात लसीकरण करणे किंवा वैद्यकीय सवलत मिळणे आवश्यक आहे, ज्याचे तज्ञांच्या स्वतंत्र पॅनेलद्वारे मूल्यांकन केले जाईल.
