अहमदाबाद कसोटीच्या चौथ्या दिवशी रविवारी श्रेयस अय्यरने (Shreyas Iyer) पाठदुखीची तक्रार केल्याने आणि फलंदाजीला न आल्याने भारतीय संघाच्या आशांना मोठा धक्का बसला. त्याला स्कॅनिंगसाठी पाठवण्यात आले त्यानंतर त्याला चौथ्या चाचणीतून वगळण्यात आले. बीसीसीआयच्या अधिकृत निवेदनात याला दुजोरा देण्यात आला आहे. वनडे मालिकेत खेळण्याबाबत अधिक माहिती देण्यात आलेली नाही. जर वेदना अधिक असेल तर कोलकाता नाईट रायडर्सला देखील धक्का बसू शकतो कारण या महिन्याच्या शेवटी आयपीएल सुरू होत आहे ज्यामध्ये तो कोलकाताचे नेतृत्व करत आहे.
