अचंताने पुरुष एकेरीत सुवर्णपदक पटकावले आहे. सोमवारी खेळल्या गेलेल्या अंतिम सामन्यात यजमान इंग्लंडच्या लियाम पिचफोर्डचा पराभव करून त्याने पदक जिंकले.
बर्मिंगहॅम (Birmingham) येथे खेळल्या जाणाऱ्या कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2022 मध्ये भारताला टेबल टेनिसमध्ये (Table tennis) आणखी एक पदक मिळाले असून हे पदक देशाचा अनुभवी खेळाडू अचंता शरथ कमल (Achanta Sharath Kamal) याने दिले आहे. अचंताने पुरुष एकेरीत सुवर्णपदक पटकावले आहे. सोमवारी खेळल्या गेलेल्या अंतिम सामन्यात यजमान इंग्लंडच्या लियाम पिचफोर्डचा पराभव करून त्याने पदक जिंकले. अचंताने हा सामना 11-13, 11-7, 11-2, 11-7 असा जिंकला.
