दुबईतील महापूरावरील पोस्टवरुन X युजर्सची टिप्पणी मागे, उद्योगपती आनंद महिंद्रा म्हणाले 'Glad You Subsequently Retracted Your Comment'

उद्योगपती आनंद महिंद्रा यांनी सोशल मीडिया मंच X वर शेअर केलेल्या पोस्टचा चुकीचा अर्थ लावणाऱ्या एका वापरकर्त्याला आपली चूक उमगली आहे. त्यानंतर या वापरकर्त्याने आनंद महिंदा यांच्या X पोस्टवर केलेल्या सर्व पोस्ट (प्रतिक्रिया) मागे घेतल्या आहेत. वापरकर्त्याच्या या समजदारीनंतर स्वत: आनंद महिंद्रा यांनीही सोशल मीडियावर आपल्या भावना व्यक्त करत आनंद व्यक्त केला. त्यांनी आपल्या पोस्टमध्ये वापरकर्त्याला उद्देशून म्हटले आहे की, 'आपण माझ्या पोस्टचा चुकीचा अर्थ लावणारी पोस्ट मागे घेतली याचा मला आनंद आहे. आपण केलेल्या पोष्टचा अर्थ केवळ दुबईमध्ये सध्याचे वातावरण किती असामान्य आहे, हे दर्शवण्याचा आपला उद्देश होता.'

वापरकर्त्याला उद्देशून केलेल्या पोस्टमध्ये आनंद महिंद्रा म्हणतात, आपणास माझ्या पोस्टचा अर्थ समजला आणि आपण आपल्या पोस्ट मागे घेतल्या याचा मला आनंद आहे. दुबईमधील असामान्य वातावरण लक्षात आणून देण्याचा आपला उद्देश होता. जसे की, जर कधी मुंबईत बर्फ पडले तरीही मी म्हणालो असतो की, मुंबईसाठी हे वातावरण किती असमान्य आहे. माझ्या विधानामध्ये कोणाचीही खिल्ली उडविण्याची भावना नव्हती.

दुबई येथे आलेल्या पुराच्या व्हिडिओवर प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त करताना आनंद महिंद्रा यांनी सोशल मीडियावर लिहीले होते की, 'नव्हे, ही मुंबई नव्हे. ही दुबई आहे. वापरकर्त्याने माझ्या पोस्टचा चुकीचा अर्थ लावला आहे. दुबई अशा अतिवृष्टीसाठी उभारण्यात आली नाही. मुंबईमध्ये अचानक बर्फवृष्टी झाली तर असेच साधर्म्य असेल. बर्फाच्छादित मुंबईला पाहून ऑस्लोमधील लोक मुंबईची थट्टा उडवतील का? दुबईतील हवामान किती असमान्य आहे हेच अधोरेखीत करण्याचा माझ्या पोस्टचा उद्देश होता', असे महिंदा यांनी आपल्या पोस्टमध्ये म्हटले आहे.

Ok, upon re-reading the post, maybe it is not mocking Dubai. However the point remains Dubai was not built for heavy rains, no matter what the source of the rain (seeding etc). It would be impractical to build cities to handle any extreme weather scenario, however unlikely.
