Pune Suicide Cases: पुण्यात गेल्या 4 वर्षांत 4,000 हून अधिक आत्महत्यांची नोंद; पहा आकडेवारी

पुण्यात 2021 ते 2024 दरम्यान एकूण 4,022 आत्महत्यांची नोंद झाल्याची धक्कादायक बाब समोर आली आहे. यापैकी 2,849 पुरुष आणि 1,173 महिला होत्या. फ्री प्रेस जर्नलने याबाबत वृत्त दिले आहे. वर्षनिहाय आकडेवारीवरून चिंताजनक परंतु किंचित घटणारा कल दिसून येतो: 2021 मध्ये 1,080 आत्महत्या झाल्या, त्यानंतर 2022 मध्ये 1,056, 2023 मध्ये 1,023 आणि 2024 मध्ये 862 आत्महत्या झाल्या. अलिकडच्याच एका घटनेत, एका 17 वर्षीय अल्पवयीन मुलीने तिच्या प्रियकराने लग्न करण्यास नकार दिल्याने तिच्या घरी गळफास घेऊन आपले जीवन संपवले. ही घटना 23 मार्च रोजी घडली. मात्र, मंगळवारी फुरसुंगी पोलिस ठाण्यात 17 वर्षीय आरोपीविरुद्ध गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला.
