Walter Alfred Dies: गेल्या शतकातील अनेक ऐतिहासिक घटनांचे कव्हरेज करणारे प्रेस ट्रस्ट ऑफ इंडिया (पीटीआय) चे माजी पत्रकार वॉल्टर आल्फ्रेड यांचे बुधवारी मीरा रोड येथील त्यांच्या घरी निधन झाले. या महिन्याच्या अखेरीस ते 103 वर्षांचा झाले असते. मीरा रोडवरील त्यांच्या घरी झोपेत असताना पहाटे 1.30 वाजता त्यांचे निधन झाले, अशी त्यांची मुलगी अनिता यांनी सांगितले. मीरा रोड येथील सृष्टी संकुलात गेल्या अनेक वर्षांपासून रहिवासी असलेले, पीटीआयचे वार्ताहर म्हणून जगभर फिरणारे ज्येष्ठ पत्रकार 20 व्या शतकातील काही ऐतिहासिक क्षणांचे साक्षीदार होते.
