अक्षय शिंदे एन्काऊंटर प्रकरणाची चौकशी करण्यासाठी महाराष्ट्र सरकार कडून एक सदस्यीय समिती गठीत करण्यात आली आहे. यामध्ये उच्च न्यायालयाचे माजी न्यायाधीश Dilip Bhosale यांची नेमणूक करण्यात आली आहे. त्यांच्याकडून 3 महिन्यात या एन्काऊंटर प्रकरणाचा अहवाल दिला जाणार आहे. 23 सप्टेंबर दिवशी अक्षयचा एन्काऊंटर मध्ये मृत्यू झाला तो बदलापूरच्या आदर्श विद्यामंदीर मधील दोन शाळकरी मुलींच्या लैंगिक अत्याचार प्रकरणातील प्रमुख आरोपी आहे. दिलीप भोसले हे अलाहाबाद उच्च न्यायालयाचे माजी न्यायाधीश होते.
