Woman Dies by Suicide Over Dark Complexion: पंजाबमधील फाजिल्का जिल्ह्यात एका नवविवाहित महिलेने तिच्या सावळ्या  रंगाच्या टोमण्यांना कंटाळून कालव्यात उडी मारून आत्महत्या केली. पोलिसांनी घटनास्थळ गाठून मृतदेह ताब्यात घेऊन पोस्टमार्टमसाठी पाठवला आहे. मृत महिलेचे तीन महिन्यांपूर्वीच लग्न झाले होते. अहवालानुसार, सासरचे लोक महिलेला सतत ती सावळी असल्याने टोमणे मारत होते. या त्रासाला कंटाळून महिलेने आपले जीवन संपवले. मिळालेल्या माहितीनुसार, 25 वर्षीय निर्मल कौरचा विवाह मोगा येथील दिलदीपसोबत तीन महिन्यांपूर्वी झाला होता. पण निर्मल कौरचा पती आणि सासरचे लोक तिला टोमणे मारायचे. लग्नाच्या काही दिवसांनी सासरच्या लोकांनी महिलेला माहेरी सोडले. त्यानंतर सोमवारी रात्री केरखेडा गावातून जाणाऱ्या कालव्यात उडी घेऊन महिलेने आत्महत्या केली.
