74 दिवसांच्या युद्धानंतर पाक सैन्यावर भारतीय लष्कराने मात केली होती. या शौर्याचं प्रतिक म्हणून तत्कालीन पंतप्रधान अटलबिहारी वाजपेयी यांनी कारगिल विजय दिवस साजरा करण्यास सुरूवात केली. यंदा 24 वा कारगिल विजय दिवस आहे.
कारगिल विजय दिवस च्या निमित्ताने Drass मध्ये Kargil War Memorial वर लष्कराने MIG 29 aircraft द्वारा पुष्पवृष्टी केली आहे. 3 Cheetal helicopters च्या माध्यमातून ही अनोखी मानवंदना देण्यात आली आहे. दरम्यान 74 दिवसांच्या युद्धानंतर पाक सैन्यावर भारतीय लष्कराने मात केली होती. या शौर्याचं प्रतिक म्हणून तत्कालीन पंतप्रधान अटलबिहारी वाजपेयी यांनी कारगिल विजय दिवस साजरा करण्यास सुरूवात केली.
