पंजाब राज्यातील 80% कोविड 19 संक्रमित हे केवळ UK Variant मुळे आढळून आली आहेत. Genome Sequencing द्वारे याची पुष्टी झाली आहे. मोठ्या प्रमाणात विवाहसोहळा, स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्था निवडणुका, शेतकर्‍यांचा निषेध इत्यादी घटनांमुळेही कोरोना संक्रमितांमध्ये वाढ झाल्याचे पाहायला मिळू शकते, असे केंद्रीय आरोग्यमंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन यांनी म्हटले आहे.
