अजित डोवाल यांनी सांगितले की, सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांना भारतीयांनी पक्ष्यांसारखे मोकळे वाटावे आणि देशाच्या स्वातंत्र्यापेक्षा कमी कशातही तडजोड करू नये अशी त्यांची इच्छा होती.
राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सल्लागार अजित डोवाल यांनी सांगितले की, सुभाषचंद्र बोस यांची इच्छा होती की भारतीयांनी पक्ष्यांसारखे मोकळे व्हावे आणि देशाच्या स्वातंत्र्यापेक्षा कमी कशातही तडजोड करू नये. राष्ट्रीय राजधानीत नेताजी सुभाषचंद्र बोस स्मृती व्याख्यान देताना डोवाल म्हणाले की, बोस यांना केवळ भारताला राजकीय अधिपत्यापासून मुक्त करायचे नव्हते, तर लोकांची राजकीय, सामाजिक आणि सांस्कृतिक मानसिकता बदलण्याचीही गरज होती.
डोवाल म्हणाले, नेताजी (सुभाषचंद्र बोस) म्हणाले की मी पूर्ण स्वातंत्र्यापेक्षा कमी कशावरही तोडगा काढणार नाही. ते म्हणाले की, त्यांना या देशाला केवळ राजकीय अधीनतेतून मुक्त करायचे नाही, तर देशाची राजकीय, सामाजिक आणि सांस्कृतिक मानसिकताही बदलायची आहे.
