गडचिरोलीमध्ये सध्या नक्षलवाद्यांच्या कारवायांमुळे पुन्हा या भागामध्ये हिंसाचार वाढायला सुरूवात झाली आहे. 1 मे दिवशी पोलिसांची व्हॅन भूसुरूंगाच्या मदतीने उडवल्यानंतर आज ( 20 मे) पुन्हा स्थानिक पोलिस आणि नक्षलवादी यांच्यामध्ये चकमक झाली आहे. गडचिरोलीत कोपरी गाव परिसरामधील जंगलात नक्षलवादी आणि स्थानिक पोलिसांमध्ये आज चकमक झाली. यानंतर नक्षलवाद्यांनी तेथून पळ काढला आहे. काल (19 मे) दिवशी नक्षलवाद्यांनी गडचिरोली बंद केल्याने काही काळ या भागात दहशतीचं वातावरण निर्माण केलं आहे.
