SriLanka आता Spas,Massage Parlours मध्ये Gender Restrictions आणण्याच्या विचारात आहे. मीडीया रिपोर्ट्सनुसार, स्पाच्या नावाखाली वेश्याव्यवसायावर नियंत्रण ठेवणे आणि AIDS सह लैंगिक संक्रमित रोगांचा (STD) प्रसार रोखणे आहे. हा यामागील उद्देश आहे. Ayurveda Commissioner General M.D.J. Abeygunawardena यांनी या निर्णयाबाबत बोलताना स्पा आणि पार्लर्स ही लैंगिक आजार पसरण्याचं केंद्र बनत असल्याने हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे. त्यामुळे आता श्रीलंकेत पुरूषांना स्त्रिया आणि स्त्रियांना पुरूष मसाज करू शकणार नाहीत.
