पापुआ न्यू गिनी, पाकिस्तान आणि जिजांगमध्ये भूकंपाचे धक्के जाणवले आहेत. नॅशनल सिस्मॉलॉजिकल सेंटरनुसार, आज पहाटे 03:16 वाजता पापुआ न्यू गिनीच्या उत्तरेकडील किनारपट्टीवर 6.5 रिश्टर स्केलचा भूकंप झाला. पण त्सुनामीचा इशारा देण्यात आलेला नाही. तर जिजांगमध्ये पहाटे 3.45 वाजता भूकंप झाला. भूकंपाची तीव्रता रिश्टर स्केलवर 5.0 इतकी होती. पाकिस्तानातही पहाटे 3.38 वाजता भूकंपाचे धक्के जाणवले. भूकंपाची तीव्रता रिश्टर स्केलवर 4.2 इतकी होती.
