आशियाई अजिंक्यपद अॅथलेटिक्स स्पर्धेत भारताने सहा सुवर्ण पदकासोबत 27 पदकांची कमाई केली आहे. आशियाई स्पर्धेत 100 मीटर अडथळा शर्यतीत सुवर्णपदक मिळवणारी पहिली भारतीय महिला धावपटू ठरलेल्या ज्योतीने दुसरे पदक जिंकताना 200 मीटर शर्यतीत 23.13 सेकंदाच्या वेळेसह रौप्यपदक पटकावले. दरम्यान पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी भारतीय खेळाडूंचे अभिनंदन केले आहे. प्रत्येक भारतीयांना आपला अभिमान असल्याचे त्यांनी आपल्या ट्विटमध्ये म्हटले आहे.
