मुंबई आणि परिसरात गेल्या तीन ते चार दिवसांपासून सतत मुसळधार पाऊस हा पडत आहे. संततधार पावसामुळे ठाणे पश्चिमेतील वर्तक नगर भागात विवियाना मॉलच्या मागे 40 फूट लांबीची भिंत कोसळलण्याची घटना घडली आहे. या दु्र्घटनेत कोणालाही दुखापत झाली नसल्याची माहिती ठाणे महानगरपालिकेकडून देण्यात आली.
