तेलंगणा राज्यातील पेड्डापल्ली जिल्ह्यातील तेलंगणा स्टेट पॉवर जनरेशन कॉर्पोरेशन (टीएसजेएनसीओ) द्वारे देखभाल केलेल्या रामागुंडम थर्मल पॉवर स्टेशनला बुधवारी भीषण आग लागली. या घटनेत अद्याप कोणतीही जीवितहानी झाल्याचे वृत्त नाही. बचाव अधिकारी घटनास्थळी पोहोचले असून, अपघाताचे कारण शोधण्यासाठी तपास सुरू आहे. अधिका-यांनी घटनेच्या तपशीलांबद्दलच्या प्रश्नांना उत्तर दिले नसले तरी, बॉयलरमधून जाणार्या केबलमधून शॉर्ट सर्किट झाल्याचा अंदाज आहे. सध्या या प्रकल्पातून वीजनिर्मिती थांबली आहे.
