भाजप नेत्या हेमा मालिनी यांच्या विरोधात केलेल्या टिप्पण्यांसाठी निवडणूक आयोगाने काँग्रेस नेते रणदीप सुरजेवाला यांना नोटीस बजावली. त्यांच्याकडून 11 एप्रिल 2024 रोजी उत्तर मागितले आहे. पक्षाच्या नेत्यांनी आणि कार्यकर्त्यांद्वारे महिलांबद्दल आदरयुक्त सार्वजनिक संभाषण सुनिश्चित करण्यासाठी ECI ने INC अध्यक्षांकडून कारवाईची मागणी केली आहे; निवडणुकीच्या प्रचाराला महिलांच्या अनादराचे व्यासपीठ बनू दिले जाऊ शकत नाही, याचा पुनरुच्चार आयोगाने केला आहे.
