महाराष्ट्रात सध्या तुरुंगात कोरोना विषाणूची 363 सक्रिय प्रकरणे आहेत. यामध्ये 259 कैदी व 104 तुरूंगातील कर्मचाऱ्यांचा समावेश आहे. राज्यभरातील तुरूंगात कोविडमुळे आजपर्यंत 9 कैदी आणि 8 जेल कर्मचाऱ्यांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे. 1,685 कैद्यांचे व 3,140 तुरूंगातील कर्मचार्‍यांचे लसीकरण झाले आहे.
