बालाकोट एअर स्ट्राईकचे हिरो अभिनंदन वर्धमान (Abhinandan Vardhaman) यांना भारतीय वायुसेनेने (IAF) बढती दिली आहे. भारतीय वायुसेनेने अभिनंदन वर्धमान यांना ग्रुप कॅप्टनचा (Group Captain) दर्जा दिला आहे. आतापर्यंत ते विंग कमांडर पदावर होते. पाकिस्तानचे लढाऊ विमान पाडल्याबद्दल अभिनंदन यांना शौर्य चक्राने सन्मानित करण्यात आले आहे. भारतीय हवाई दलाने त्यांच्या पदोन्नतीचा मार्ग मोकळा केला आहे. लवकरच तो अधिकृतपणे ही रँक लिहिण्यास सुरुवात करणार असल्याचे, सांगण्यात येतय.
