भारताची पहिली महिला अंतराळवीर Kalpana Chawla चे वडील बनारसी लाल चावला यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 90 वर्षांचे होते. Karnal मध्ये त्यांच्यावर खाजगी हॉस्पिटल मध्ये उपचार सुरू होते. उपचारादरम्यान त्यांची प्राणज्योत मालवली आहे. Karnal’s Kalpana Chawla Medical College मध्ये त्यांच्या पार्थिवाचे देहदान केले जाणार आहे.
